Email Advising FAQs

What is Email Advising?

Email Advising is a way of using email to create a communication between you and a professional. It affords you the opportunity to ask questions, clarify and address any concerns that you have. It may help you feel less alone and more able to trust yourself while you explore potential solutions to your problems. This kind of advising requires that you enjoy reading and writing which isn't for everyone. Some find it hard to put feelings into writing. Others worry too much, thinking that they need to do it perfectly. Grammar and punctuation are not important in email.  The most important thing to realize is that sometimes what is conveyed through email isn't exactly what the writer intended.  It's useful to remember that it can take time with some back and forth emails to clarify what is intended.  The best thing about Email Advising is that it allows you to take your time, compose your thoughts and set the email aside and later come back to it to make your thoughts, needs and experiences even clearer.  An added bonus for busy moms is that it's something you can get to on your own time whenever you have free time.  In addition, the email you receive back from the professional in response to your inquiries is something you can print out and refer back to as needed.  Usually, the emails you get back are full of warmth and understanding along with suggestions or action steps for you to take to remedy your situational concerns.

How Does It Work?
You email me to let me know you are interested.  You can start by emailing me here:  aworkofheart@att.net   I send you a questionnaire to get to know you better.  Once you fill that out and send it to me, and pay me, then we can start.  The questionnaire is like a free consultation and gives me the background so that you don't have to do that in our emails.  It takes me 1-2 days to respond to an email, depending on the length.

What is the Cost?
We can discuss the cost either over the phone or through email.  I am quite flexible with this and want to make this service as available as I can. 

How Do I Pay?
You can pay by credit card through PayPal.  If you are new to PayPal, it is a very simple process that I can walk you through.
